Does it get any better than this?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons vegetable oil<br \/>\n3 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1\/2-inch cubes<br \/>\n3 tablespoons chili powder<br \/>\n1 tablespoon ground cumin<br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoons mexican style seasoning<br \/>\n3\/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/4-1\/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper<br \/>\n1 bay leaf<br \/>\n3 cups chopped yellow onions<br \/>\n2 tablespoons minced garlic<br \/>\n2 (12-ounce) bottles dark beer<br \/>\n1 (28-ounce) can whole tomatoes, crushed, with juices<br \/>\n1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes<br \/>\n2 tablespoons tomato paste<br \/>\n1 cup beef broth<br \/>\n2 teaspoons salt<br \/>\n1-ounce semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped<br \/>\n2 tablespoons masa harina<br \/>\nGrated Cheddar, for garnish<br \/>\nFinely chopped green onions, for garnish<br \/>\nChopped fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat the oil in a large heavy pot over high heat.<br \/>\nAdd the beef, chili powder, cumin, Mexican style seasoning, cayenne, cinnamon, crushed red pepper and bay leaf and cook until meat is well-browned.<br \/>\nAdd the onions and cook, stirring often, until the onions soften, about 8 minutes.<br \/>\nAdd the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.<br \/>\nAdd the beers and stir until the foam subsides, about 1 minute.<br \/>\nAdd the tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, salt, and chocolate to the pot. Stir well and bring to a boil.<br \/>\nReduce to a simmer, partially cover, and cook until thickened and meat is very tender, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the chili from sticking to the bottom of the pot.<br \/>\nSkim off any fat that rises to the top of the chili.<br \/>\nSprinkle\u00a0chili with masa harina and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.<br \/>\nTaste and adjust the seasoning, if necessary.<br \/>\nServe topped with the cheese, green onions, and cilantro.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chili made with beer and chocolate.
