More or less of any of the ingredients as you desire will still turn out fine. That&#8217;s the beauty of using the slowcooker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4+large carrots, cut into 2-3&#8243; pieces<\/p>\n<p>1\/2lbs\u00a0small red new potatoes, halved<\/p>\n<p>3-4 lb. corned beef brisket<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp. thyme<\/p>\n<p>2-3 medium onions, quartered<\/p>\n<p>1 cup water, apple cider, or beer<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 bunch parsley<\/p>\n<p>1 small head cabbage, cut into wedges<\/p>\n<p>Use the seasoning packet that comes with the corned beef if desired<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle corned beef with thyme.<\/p>\n<p>Place all ingredients except cabbage wedges into crock pot in the order listed above.<\/p>\n<p>Cook on low for 8 hours, or high for 5 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Add cabbage wedges, turn to high and cook for an additional 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Best served with Guinness Stout.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe has lots of &#8220;wiggle room&#8221;.
